André Russel Batoum is a member of the Rwanda Bar and is awaiting swearing in at the Cameroon Bar.
Before joining the firm, André Russel Batoum was a trainee lawyer with the Rwandan law firm GMN in Kigali.
André Russel Batoum has also worked for the law firms Nya & Co., AHEAD – Legal Advisory, Nyemb and Jacques Bassong, as well as the regulatory and special projects department of Eneo Cameroon’s Legal Affairs Division, and the legal department of Société Camerounaise des Dépôts Pétroliers (SCDP).
This experience has enabled him to work on cases in the electricity, arbitration, corporate governance and public procurement sectors, both as an advisor and in litigation.
André Russel Batoum holds a Master 2 in International Transport Law and Litigation from the University of Douala, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development in Rwanda, and a Diplôme d’Université en droit des entreprises en difficulté from the University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne.
He is fluent in both French and English.
