Emmanuel Massoda is a lawyer at the Cameroon Bar and is a Partner in charge of litigation at the Firm. He is based in Douala.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate for 19 years at Nyemb Law Firm, where he was a senior lawyer in charge of litigation.
Emmanunel Massoda is fluent in French and English.
Emmanuel Massoda holds:
a Master 2 research degree in Business Law from the University of Douala,
as well as a Master 1 in Business Law and a Bachelor degree in Private Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Douala.
He is a member of the Cameroonian Association of Business Lawyers (ACAA), a forum of exchange bringing together lawyers and trainee lawyers whose practice is mainly focused on business law, and which aims at improving and securing the business climate in Cameroon.
Emmanuel Massoda has been involved in the following cases and transactions:
Assistance to several banks before local courts in the context of their banking litigation;
Assistance to several companies specialised in international transport before the state courts in the context of their maritime and tax disputes;
Assistance to Camrail and its employees in the judicial and administrative investigations into the Eséka rail disaster;
Litigation before the administrative courts, in particular concerning sanctions related to the illegal or irregular exercise of commercial activities;
Legal assistance to several local and multinational companies in the drafting and negotiation of their commercial contracts and in legal secretarial matters.
